Workers' Compensation

If you have been injured on the job, give me a call to discuss your potential claim at no charge. Workers' compensation insurance carriers are notorious for not paying injured workers all of the benefits provided for by Georgia law. These benefits include income payments, medical care and, with certain injuries, benefits for any impairment rating assigned by your treating physician.

When injured at work, it's important to notify your employer as soon as possible and seek prompt medical attention. Your employer should provide you with a list of doctors for you to choose from. You should keep in mind that the Statute of Limitations for Workers' Compensation claims is much shorter than with many types of claims.

Attorney fees in workers' compensation cases are regulated by the Georgia State Board of Workers' Compensation and an attorney representing a party in a work injury settlement is not allowed to charge more than a 25% contingency fee.

Work injury claims are very different than other types of injury cases and it is very important to discuss your potential claim with an attorney who is experienced in dealing with these types of cases. Having practiced law for other thirty years, I have handled hundreds of work injury cases before the Georgia State Board of Workers' Compensation.
